My husband and I started making arrangements for our father in October for his trip to England in December. We needed O2 bottles for sure but were unsrure about needing a concentrator. We were told repeatedly that there would be no problems and that all was taken care of, "it would be easy to get this stuff together". Two days before my father-in-law arrived I was told they couldn't get the small, portable O2 bottles but only the larger ones or I might be interested in a portable O2 concentrator; I thought I'd made it clear that would not work and that portable O2 bottle(s) is what he required. On delivery day nothing came and when I called Mr. Owen seemed surprised that I was expecting delivery of atleast the larger bottles. After much headache and enormous amounts of stress the (larger) O2 bottles were delivered five days after they were promised and to a neighbors house because we were in London at the time of delivery. The O2 concentrator my father-in-law brought with him malfunctioned and I am grateful the company was able to provide that much at least. It has now been a week and there have been no follow-up phone calls and no mention of the smaller, 'sling pack' O2 bottles we were originally wanting. We are leaving for the continent tomorrow and wanted to have the O2 bottles refilled before our three day holiday; I have been calling New Camp Medical for over two days with nothing to show for it but a lot of unanswered messages. No one has returned my calls and I cannot find another number in which to try to get hold of anyone. This is terrible service. These medical supplies are not optional, they are not recreational, but a matter of necessity. My father-in-law is not using oxygen for welding or machine work, but for his health; I expected better customer service from a medical supply company.
